But don't be scared! It is not really my intention to run away... it's just tempting sometimes with all the planning going on.
The reason I started this blog is to keep track of what I have accomplished so far in regard of planning the "Big Day", what is left to do and what I hope is done (but not really, at this point).
So, let's start at the beginning: Who am I, who is my adorable fiancé, and why is this such an ordeal.
My name is Mar, I'm an adorable (awww) young lady from Barcelona, Spain, although I am currently living in Madrid with my Canadian fiancé: Will. Confusing? You bet! Our wedding will be held in Barcelona, which is for reference 600km away from here, with guests from a great variety of countries - Spain, Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland... and more. If you have already been married, then I think you can relate on how horrible it is to organize one - now try picturing adding up people from so many countries in a city that is not the one you're currently living in, and ensuring everyone has the best time possible. Will my Canadian relatives enjoy our traditional Spanish food? Will my Spanish relatives think it is too corny to have a maid of honor?
Phew! I'm sure in the end everything will be alright.

Día 1: ¡Comienza el Proyecto Novia a la Fuga!
¡Pero no os preocupéis! Mi intención no es salir corriendo... es sólo que, a veces, resulta tentadora la idea teniendo en cuenta toda la planificación que tengo encima en este momento.
La razón por la que he empezado este Blog es para hacer una especie de diario de todas las cosas que ya he conseguido, las que me quedan por completar y lo que me gustaría que tuviera lugar en el "Gran día" (aunque a día de hoy... no mucho. ¡Puf!)
En fin, empecemos por el principio: Quién soy, quién es mi encantador prometido y por qué planear esta boda está siendo una pesadilla.
Mi nombre es Mar y soy una encantadora (jiji) chica de Barcelona, aunque actualmente resido en Madrid con mi prometido canadiense: Will. ¿Complicado? ¡Dímelo a mí! Nuestra boda tendrá lugar en Barcelona, como referencia para los que no lo sepáis a unos 600 KM de mi lugar de residencia, y tendrá invitados de un montón de paises: Españoles, Canadienses, Americanos, Suecos, Finlandeses... y seguro que algún extra que me dejo en el tintero. Si ya te has casado, estoy segura de que sabrás lo complicado que es organizar una boda: Ahora intenta imaginarte un batiburrillo de gente de varios paises, en un ciudad en la que no vives, intentando asegurarte de que todo el mundo se lo pasa bomba. ¿Les gustará la comida española a mis familiares de Canadá? ¿Mi familia española pensará que es muy repipi tener una dama de honor?
¡Uf! En fin, seguro que al final todo sale bien.
